Grades 11, 12 and 13 of all schools is opened from 27th of July

The heads of the schools used for election duties must remain in schools on 28, 29, 30 and 31.

Arrangements have been made to open all government schools from 27th of July for the students in grades 11, 12 and 13.

The dates for opening the schools, the grades functioning in schools and the dates for conducting the examinations were revised in the face of new circumstances emerged due to the spread of covid 19 virus and accordingly, the schools are functioning from 7.30 am till 3.30 pm. for the grades 11, 12 and 13. The schools are opened for other grades from the 10th of August. All the school authorities are informed to continue school activities in line with the special instructions given by the ministry of education and the guidelines provided by the health authorities when the students are called to the schools.   

The Ministry of Education further informs the principals and the deputy principals of the schools used for election duties such as arranging the schools for the general election 2020 and awareness activities in this regard to remain in the schools on the dates 28, 29, 30 and 31 of July.

The Ministry of Education also informs the principals to take necessary steps to provide the facilities for election activities having discussions with the assistant commissioners so as not to disturb the learning activities of the students during this period of time.
