The Minister of Education Dr. Susil Premajayantha says that the management of schools will be regularized using the graduate officers as required for each school after establishing the educational management service according to a new service minute consisted of a group of people selected from the Development Officers currently serving in the schools. The minister stated this while participating in the occasion of launching the Learning Management System (LMS) for training data officers prepared with the aim of fulfilling the training requirements of data officers at national level who have been named at provincial, zonal, divisional and school levels.
The minister further stated at this occasion that through the establishment of this new service at divisional level in line with the 335 divisional secretariat divisions according to the public administrative procedures it will be possible to carry out the school nutrition programs and vaccination programs etc. also conforming to the administration of the ministry of health.
The government will not have to spend extra allocations by recruiting the development officers who have already in the public service attached to the schools and it is expected to regularize the office management at all sections such as schools, school development boards, zones and provinces relevant to the education, the minister stated at this occasion.
