While starting the first Drone Technology Pilot Course in this country The Minister of Education Dr. Susil Premajayantha said that a rapid development in agricultural sector in this country is expected in the future using Drone Technology. The minister further said that it provides an opportunity as a solution to the shortage of skilled human resource and also to increase the productivity and efficiency avoiding the difficulties in the vocational field that must be achieved by surpassing the human abilities. The minister expressed his trust that our country, which is far behind in the modern world that follows the fourth industrial revolution, will be able to achieve a rapid technical development through it.
The minister mentioned this at the premises of “Nipunatha Piyasa”, Narahenpita while participating as the chief guest in the occasion of opening the Agricultural Technology Projects Center which is implemented with the leadership of the Tertiary and Vocational Education Commission and the Agricultural Sector Skills Board under the guidance of the Ministry of Education.
