Greetings from GRI South Asia.
GRI South Asia has been operating with the overall objective of facilitating business and state actors to take effective steps towards realize responsible business conduct and contribute to sustainable development.
It’s widely accepted that the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are central to how, as an international community, we collaborate to address the most urgent global challenges that we face. Though it is widely accepted that the achievement of SDG in South Asia where we operate is essential for the entire world’s achievement, the actual progress in South Asia is certainly till date is not very encouraging. We all need to take stock and take effective action immediately, lest the SDG targets for 2030 would not be achieved in South Asia and consequently in the entire world.
Based on deliberations with diverse stakeholders across the entire region, GRI South Asia has identified three specific areas which are most crucial for SDG implementation. In its 10th Anniversary year, virtual Round Table on these focused topics have been planned:
Achieving SDGs – from Retrofit to Strategic Interventions on 5th December 22 [1600 to 1730 hrs IST]
Poverty Alleviation, Root of SDGs – Is it being done? on 7th December 22 [1600 to 1730 hrs IST]
Achieving Net Zero – Challenges and Learnings on 9th December 22 [1600 to 1730 hrs IST]
