“The transformation of education begins with teachers”
Preparations have been done to hold the “Guru Prathibha Prabha” teachers and principals appreciation ceremony this time on 06th of October at the auditorium on the 7th floor of the Ministry of Education organized in line with the annual international teachers day to honour the services rendered dedicatedly and courageously by the teachers and principals in Sri Lankan school education system that creates the future citizens of the country.
The aim of this national honorary function is to motivate and encourage teachers and principals for a more productive and efficient service and promote the recognition of teachers and principals up to a more respectable level as professionals having a remarkable importance among other professionals.
Actions have been done to hold this national level appreciation function with the leadership of The Minister of Education Dr. Susil Premajayantha and with the participation of The State Minister of Education A. Arvind Kumar, The State Minister of Pirivenas Vijitha Berugoda and The State Minister of Higher Education Dr. Suren Raghawan.
At this function, representing 9 provinces of the country 45 principals and 90 teachers are scheduled to be felicitated which is organized by the management and standard branch of education quality development section under the full supervision and guidance of the Secretary of Education Mr. N.M. Ranasingha.
