The presentation of appointment letters to the diploma holders of the national colleges of education and to teacher assistants for integrating them into the teacher service happened at the Provincial Council Auditorium Pallekele, Kandy on the third of May with the leadership of The Minister of Education Dr. Ramesh Pathirana and with the participation of the Governor of the Central Province Attorney at Law Lalith U. Gamage.
At this occasion 544 diploma holders from national colleges of education were presented with their appointment letters and 4645 national colleges of education diploma holders from the entire country were presented with their t letters of appointment to grade 3-1 (B) of the teacher service.
Addressing the audience of this occasion The Minister of Education Dr. Ramesh Pathirana said that the future of the country depends on the education and it is essential to yield a good outcome from the investment utilized for education. There is a need for reformations in education to suite the fourth industrial revolution and technological requirements with the identification of new educational trends.
A group of people including the former chairman of the provincial council of the central province L.D. Nimalasiri, Secretary to the Governor Anton Thilakarathna, Chief Secretary Gamini Jayarathna, Provincial Secretary of Education Ajith Premasingha and The Secretary of the Public Service Commission W. Dayananda had joined in this occasion.
