The Minister of Education Professor G.L. Peiris said that the facility will be provided to the entire nation for obtaining all the services of the Department of Examinations through the mobile phones while remaining at home introducing a more receiver friendly mobile app named Exams Sri Lanka DOE according to the digitalization policy of the government. The minister expressed these ideas while participating in the occasion of launching of this mobile telephone app in Colombo.
He also said that according to this app any person can obtain all the services through the mobile phones while remaining wherever they are, earlier that had to be taken by going to the department of examinations. These services include the applying certificates online, confirmation of results, searching for the index number, observing the school examination results of the previous year, searching and downloading the results of institutional examinations, sample questions, downloading the marking schemes (including the question paper) and evaluation reports, downloading statistics and school achievement index, news and announcements, examination timetables, downloading the past question papers (recent 05 years), downloading the applications, GIT – Online Examinations System, Downloading exam papers, application called exams (relevant gazette notifications), issuing monthly results of the institutional exams, downloading the result sheets, Online Application Module, online application for school exams and online application for institutional exams.
The Secretary of the ministry of Education Professor Kapila C.K. Perera, The Commissioner General of Examinations B. Sanath Pujitha, The Media Secretary of the minister Buddhika Wickramadara and a group of officers from the department of examinations also participated in this occasion.
