A special discussion was held today at the Ministry of Education with the leadership of Minister of Education Dr. Susil Premajayantha about the actions to be taken for maintaining a conducive environment for learning within all the schools. The officers of the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Health and the officers of several other section related to school affairs also attended this occasion.
A lengthy discussion was held at this occasion about the measures that can be taken to convert the classroom and the school premises to be a pleasant place as well as a place where children can engage happily in learning activities without any mental obstructions,
Further discussions were also held about informing the principals again regarding the drawing of attention to some matters in existing circulars. And also, it was decided that if it is needed to check the bags of the students in the future, the principals should take the assistance of teachers, student prefects, and the members of school development societies for this purpose.
