The Minister of Education Dr. Susil Premajayantha
The Minister of Education Dr. Susil Premajayantha says that the education reforms process which had been planned to implement from the year 2023 according to the UNESCO covenants that aimed for a change in education after the Covid pandemic has been expanded into a broad educational transformation.
The minister stated this while participating as the chief invited guest in the certificate awarding ceremony to the diplomates who completed the Diploma in Pre-school Training and Culinary Course of Polymath university held at Bandaranayake Conference Hall.
In the first stage of the new education reforms process the changes in the educational administration will be started from next year and in the future existing 100 zonal education offices will be increased up to 120 and 550 School Boards will be established connected with the present 550 education divisions which are under those zones, the minister said.
The Chairperson of Sri Lanka Tourism and Host Services Management Institution Mr. Shirantha Peiris and The Chairperson of Polymath Group Mr. Upali Gunasekara had participated in this occasion.
