The main objective of this Summit was to find solutions to the global education crisis. Heads of State, Education Ministers from many countries around the world attended this Summit.
The launch of the International Finance Facility for Education (IFFEd) that would focus on providing financial assistance to revive education in countries severely affected by the Covid-19 pandemic and the global economic crisis also took place simultaneously. The country’s education sector will be benefitted under the IFFEd as a result of the presentation made by Minister Premajayantha at the Summit on the effects the pandemic and economic crisis have had on Sri Lanka’s education.
