The Minister of Education Dr. Susil Premajayantha says that it is expected to bring to the normal situation by the next December the activities in the field of education that should be performed within the scheduled timeframe such as conducting examinations, releasing the results, distribution of textbooks and university admissions. The minister said these ideas while participating in the occasion of Mr. M. Nihal Ranasingha taking up his duties as the new secretary of education today (25).
Further expressing his ideas at this occasion, the minister said that in a situation with economic difficulties like this, providing midday meal for children and the normalization of the activities in Pirivena section must be done in a very systematic way.
The administrative structure of a country has been organized in a systematic way and there will be additional problems if we deviate from that system. Therefore, it is important to activate the management procedures according to the formal practices within the ministry of education also, the minister further stated.
A group of officers of the ministry also had joined in this occasion which was held with the leadership of the minister of education.
