A discussion between The Minister of Education Dinesh Gunawardana and a group of Russian higher education delegates was held at the University Grants Commission, Colombo on 03.03.2022 for the collaboration and improvement of higher education between Sri Lanka and Russia.
Sri Lankan Ambassador in Russia Professor Mrs. Janitha Liyanage and the first secretary of the Russian embassy in this country Mrs. Anatasia Khokiova also attended this meeting.
The Russian delegation including Vice Chancellor for International Affairs of People’s Friendship University of Russia (Lumumba University) Larisa Ivanovna Efrernova, The Director of the medical institution of it Alexey Yurievich Abramov, The dean of post graduate section of that medical institution Maria Viadimirovna Greenbeng, the chief expert of the faculty of students affairs Daria Alekseevna Vasina, the deputy dean of the faculty of international affairs philosophy Natalla Viadimirovna Poplavskaya, The chief of the people’s friendship university Yastrebov Oleg Alexandrovich and the chairperson of the company providing assistance to the studies aimed at pursuing in Russia and educational guidance Dr. Hannah Halim and the Secretary of the Ministry of Education Professor Kapila Perera, Additional Secretary Senevirathna, the Chairperson of the University Grants Commission Professor Sampath Amarathunga and the vice chairperson of it Professor Chandana Premakumara Udawatta participated in this occasion.
