The National Institute of Education has designed a special online learning course for the teachers of Korean language in the schools of Sri Lanka with the aim of popularizing the Korean language within the school system in the country.
The awarding of certificates to the second batch of this course which has been named as Korean Language Course was happened recently (30th July) at Shangri-La Hotel, Colombo. A gathering including the Ambassador of Korea Joeng Woon Jin, The Minister of Education Professor G.L. Peiris, The State Minister of Education Dr. Susil Premajayanth and The Director General of the National Institute of Education Dr. Sunil Jayantha Nawarathna had joined in this occasion.
This course was conducted under the online method in collaboration with the Korean Embassy and the classical languages and foreign languages branch of the National Institute of Education and this time the course was conducted for 72 trainees.
This program was conducted under the directions of Dr. Sunil Jayantha Nawarathna the Director General of the National Institute of Education which has its vision of coordinating the skills of the twenty first century for education and this is a great success achieved by the National Institute of Education and the teachers of Korean language in Sri Lanka as well
