After resuming the duties in the ministry of education as the new minister of education, Mr. Dinesh Gunawardana met the several trade unions of teachers for the first time today (26.08.2021) at the ministry of education.
The meeting with Sri Lanka Podujana Education Service Union happened with the participation of its chairperson Wasantha Handapangoda and some trade union representatives. Minister Gamini Lokuge also participated in this occasion.
After that he met with the leaders of Lanka Guru Sangamaya, Lanka Guru Sewa Sangamaya, All Ceylon United Teachers Union, Lanka Progressive Teachers Union, Independent Education Service Union, Sri Lanka Professional Principals Union and Sri Lanka National Principals Union. The Secretary of Ministry Professor Kapila Perera also attended to this event.
