American government assistance for developing the education system of this country

At a special meeting held at the ministry of education between The Minister of Education G.L. Pieris and The American Ambassador Ms. Alaina B. Teplitz it was revealed that the American government is fully prepared to help for the development of education system in Sri Lanka.  

At this occasion The American Ambassador Ms. Alaina B. Teplitz said that the assistance of the American embassy can be provided to improve the English language education within the school system in the country and to plan and implement the English education courses for the students of National Apprenticeship and Technical Training Authority (NITA). And also the Ambassador further mentioned that the full support of America can be given to the developmental processes scheduled to be implemented in the future within the education system by the new government and she requested to provide the necessary information with regard to the fields where the assistance is required.
