The Ministry of Education has decided to reopen the government and government approved private schools which were closed due to the spread of Covid 19 virus.
Accordingly, the necessary instructions have been provided to Provincial Chief Secretaries, Provincial Education Secretaries, Provincial Directors of Education, Zonal Directors of Education, Heads of the Pirivenas and the Principals for reopening of schools for all grades even if the total number of students exceeds 200 in such schools, following the health instructions provided by the Ministry of Health on the condition that there are sufficient classrooms and teachers to maintain the social distance and the distance between students with the aim of educating all the children.
