MBD Group in India has expressed their willingness to donate two classrooms facilitated with digital technical equipments in two schools in Sri Lanka. The official program related to establishing of these classrooms was held recently (06) at the Ministry of Education. This was held under the headship of The Minister of Education Akila Viraj Kariyawasam and with the participation of the Indian delegation including the Chief Executive Officer of the MBD Group Ms. Monika Malhothra.
Nakkawatta National School, Kurunegala and Ganetenna Maha Vidyalaya, Kegalle have been selected to establish these digital classrooms. A normal classroom available in these schools will be converted into a modern classroom with digital facilities. Accordingly, a digital board, a computer and other equipment are scheduled to be provided to these schools.
In addition to this the MBD Group has agreed to train a group of teachers selected covering different subjects on how to use these equipment and these trainings will be started within this week. It is expected to train the other teachers of the school through these trained teachers.
The Sri Lankan Manager of this institution Mr. Jayampathi Arambepola and the principals of the relevant schools had joined in this occasion.
