The quality and alignment of these programs are continuously supervised by subject directors within this hub and the facilities have also been provided to solve the technical problems. This hub that has been established under the state ministry of education reforms, open universities and distant education development is a project which will be functioning even after the ceasing of pandemic situation. Even the children without internet facilities will have the opportunity to continue their education from their homes using the television. It is expected to provide studio facilities covering all districts in the future and another two channels are added today in addition to the existing two channels and also by January next year there will be 10 channels.

Expressing his ideas at this occasion The Minister of Education Dinesh Gunawardana said….

“In an instance of most important chapter of the country providing educational knowledge to the children, this program started under the Nenasa project which can be used for the determination of going through any critical situation that was started during the period of Hon. Mahinda Rajapaksa. The vision for prosperity program of Hon. President provides a great blessing for this project. This is not limited only for education but it has come to a situation that entire public service can use the information technology. This can be described as another successful start of taking the education to the children using the information technology according to the vision of prosperity policy declaration. Starting of this center is a support for the fulfillment of current education requirements of the children during this present disastrous situation in the country. Through the process which is launched collectively by the ministry of education and the Nenasa project, the lessons prepared by a team of competent teachers will be transmitted by several channels and it must be stated that this is a fruitful process initiated by the ministry of education for the studies of the children under the present situation.”

Expressing his ideas at this occasion The State Minister of Education Reforms Susil Premajayantha said..

“The objective of this program is to streamline the educational programs that were transmitted through various channels by the national institute of education so far under the complete supervision of the ministry of education in collaboration with Nenasa Project. Basically, the lessons are conducted through four main channels for the children from grade 01 to grade 13 from 7.00am till 11.00 at night. The arrangements have been made to transmit more than 1000 lessons prepared by a team of competent teachers through 7 channels from the 1st of October and then expand it to 10 channels later. These lessons will be provided to children through the internet free of charge. We believe that these programs will be a support to the children for studying properly again the missed lessons during this crisis situation.”
