Functions of the Branch
- Administration of Teacher Centers & Teachers training Colleges – Overseeing the management, resource allocation, and quality assurance of Teacher Centers, training colleges
- Coordinating Teacher Education Programs conducting the teacher centers and Teachers Training colleges – Planning, implementing, and monitoring in-service continuous teacher training programs for teachers, ensuring alignment with national education policies
- Policy Making and Implementation in Teacher Education – Formulating teacher education policies and guidelines, and ensuring their effective implementation at national, provincial, and zonal levels.
- Capacity Building – Enhancing the professional skills and competencies of teacher educators of Teacher Centers and Teachers training colleges through workshops, seminars and continuous professional development programmes
- Issuing certificates to qualified teachers who have completed training courses from training colleges that are no longer functioning
- Coordinating establishment matters of academic and non-academic staff in Teacher Centers and Training Colleges
- The 25 selected Teacher Centers, coordinated by the Teacher Education Administration Branch, serve as Applied Resource Hubs (ARH) for teacher training, professional development, and certification management across districts.
