Dr. Mrs. M. M.Wehella has served in the Sri Lanka Education Administrative Service as a Deputy Principal, an Assistant Director of Education, Secretary to the National Education Commission, a Director of Education since 1988 and is currently holding the position of Additional Secretary (Policy Planning and Performance Review) in the Ministry of Education.

She has more than 32 year experience in the field of Management & Administration and has served in Provincial Department of Education (Western Province & Sabaragamuwa Province), the Government Schools and the Ministry of Education in different capacities.

Dr. Mrs. M. M.Wehella is a Bachelor of Science Graduate from the University of Sri Jayawardanapura and holds a Master degree in Education & International Development from University of London, UK, M. Phil in Education from University of Colombo and Doctor of Education, University of Sussex, UK.
