1. Establishment work of the teachers in Government Approved Private Schools

1.1   Initial appointments and promotions

1.2 Approving the local leave of the teachers in government approved private schools

1.2.1 Special leave obtained as personal leave (with and without salary)

1.3 Approving the foreign leave of the teachers in government approved private schools

1.3.1 For foreign tours

1.3.2 For foreign religious missionary affairs

1.3.3 Personal foreign tours (to receive treatment on health reasons / for relaxation)

1.3.4 Foreign study leave (long term and short term)

1.4 The matters related to providing approval for the number of teachers in government approved private schools

1.5 Approving the proposals to terminate the service of teachers

1.6 Approving the proposals to send the teachers on retirement

1.7 Providing instructions on teacher establishment affairs.

2.0 The activities related to update the information of schools

2.1 The information related to change the name of government approved private school, the name of the manager and the location.

3.0 The supervision of government approved private schools.

Here, the teaching learning process in the schools, the human resource in the schools, physical resources, school premises and the management of the school are supervised and the necessary instructions are given by a group of persons consisted of the officers from the ministry of education, provincial department of education, officers of zonal and divisional officers and in-service advisors.

4.0 Providing facilities for capacity building of academic and management personnel in government approved private schools.

5.0 Coordination of the functions of the government approved private schools and the outside institutions.
