Graduate Teacher Examination Shortly…

There was a discussion at the Ministry of Education between The Prime Minister and the Minister of Education, Higher Education and Vocational Education Dr. Harini Amarasuriya and the representatives of combined association of unemployed graduates and the Deputy Minister of Youth Affairs Eranga Gunasekara and the Member of Parliament Chandana Suriyaarachchi had also participated in it. 

At this occasion it was mentioned that the judicial process of four cases pending in the supreme court, which had affected to delay the appointment of unemployed graduates as teachers, have now reached the final stage. Therefore, as soon as those judicial activities are finalized, actions will be taken to publish the relevant gazette and the opportunity will be given to the graduates to apply for teacher examination. It was also mentioned that the necessary actions will be taken to do the other graduate appointments just as the approval given by the cabinet.     

Furthermore, the agreement was expressed at this occasion to amend and extend the age limit to apply for the teacher examination and to expedite the appointments for all existing teacher vacancies.
