The Deputy Minister of Education and Higher Education, Dr. Madhura Senevirathne, participated in an official inspection visit to the main factory premises of the Sri Lanka State Printing Corporation (SPC), located in the Panaluwa area, on October 15, 2025. This institution, which functions under the Ministry of Education, serves as a key organization responsible for major printing activities such as school textbooks, ministry documents, and university certificates.
The main objectives of this official visit were to review institutional progress, study the production process, gather ideas on strategic planning for the coming year, and obtain views regarding employee welfare and development.
During the inspection, the Deputy Minister observed the production process of the factory and engaged in a friendly discussion with the employees. Addressing the staff, the Deputy Minister stated that his aspiration for the coming year is to “maximize the contribution of available resources, expand the institution’s operations, and enhance employee satisfaction.”
Further expressing his thoughts, he added that his goal is to “develop the State Printing Corporation into an organization with a wider scope that delivers benefits to both the country and its employees.”
During this visit, the Deputy Minister also held discussions with the senior management of the State Printing Corporation, emphasizing the current progress as well as the strategic plans formulated to achieve next year’s targeted goals.
The Chairman, senior management, and officers of the staff of the State Printing Corporation were also present at this event.
