A six-member expert committee has been appointed to review the academic programs of the University of Vocational Technology, Ratmalana (UNIVOTEC) and to provide recommendations and proposals to the Minister of Education, Higher Education, and Vocational Education, aiming to enhance the quality of these programs to meet both national and international standards. The appointments were made by the Secretary to the Ministry, Mr. Nalaka Kaluwewa, and the members of the committee are as follows:
- Dr. Janaka Jayalath – Chairman (Member, Advisory Board of the Ministry of Education, Higher Education, and Vocational Education)
- Prof. Thushara Chaminda – Member (Faculty of Engineering, University of Ruhuna)
- Prof. J.C.N. Rajendra – Member (Council Member, University of Vocational Technology)
- Dr. K.A. Lalithadheera – Member(Director General, Tertiary and Vocational Education Commission)
- Eng. S.B. Anura Deshapriya Semasinghe – Member (Chief Executive Officer, Central Engineering Services [Pvt] Ltd, Sri Lanka/Abu Dhabi)
- Himali W.K. Athawudage – Convener (Additional Secretary, Division of Vocational Education, Ministry of Education, Higher Education, and Vocational Education)
