The Prime Minister and the Minister of Education, Higher Education, and Vocational Education, Dr. Harini Amarasuriya, held a discussion at the Ministry of Education with the Graduate Association and the All-Island School Development Officers’ Association.

During the meeting, responding to the questions raised regarding the recruitment of School Development Officers into the teaching service, the Prime Minister stated that once the ongoing court proceedings are concluded and a judgment is delivered, appointments will be granted in accordance with the existing legal framework of the Teacher Service Constitution.
