Implementing budget proposals related to ICT Education

Awareness of school children and teachers on safe use of internet including social networking sites

Coordinating with the National Institute of Education, Department of Educational Publications and Department of Examinations on all matters related to ICT Syllabus, teacher training, text book preparation and subject development

Implementation, supervision and regulation of ICT subject at school level (A/L ICT, O/L ICT, GIT, 6-9 ICT)

Organizing and coordinating the National Level ICT championship competition and other ICT competitions

Implementing the project of IT Business Process Management (IT / BPM) and IT special projects with Private & Public Sector partnership and conduct awareness sessions for students and teachers.

Empowering and strengthening the School ICT Societies/ Clubs

Organizing ICT related seminars, workshops, forums, exhibitions and competitions and other engagements to promote ICT subject

Maintaining, upgrading and updating the official “website” of the Ministry of Education
