Discussions commence for education policy revisions 1000 National schools

A discussion with the Provincial Governors was held by The Minister of Education Professor G.L. Pieris about the promotion of education system of this country. 

A special attention was drawn at this occasion about organizing a series of programs to obtain the guidelines for the revision of existing curricula and teaching methodology in collaboration with the principals, teachers, parents, students, public officers, civil society organizations and also the relevant other parties.   existing  at this occasion about a series of programs to obtain the guidlines

The minister stated at this occasion that it is extremely important to organize view obtaining programs with all relevant sections and also to hold responding meetings before taking decisions because the government approach for policy making and implementation is bottom up approach but not the top to bottom.   

It is also discussed at this occasion that the inter-connections between the contents of the subjects and the vocational opportunities, generating a partial approach for vocational education programs within the different stages of educational process and there will be a high recognition to the continuation of online education programs during the post-covid period. 

The Governor of the North Central Province Maheepala Herath, The Governor of the Western Province Roshan Gunathilaka, The Governor of the Sabaragamuwa Province Tikiri Kobbekaduwa, The Governor of the Central Province Lalith U. Gamage, The Governor of the North Western Province A.J.M. Musammil, The Governor of the Southern Province Villie Gamage, The Governor of the Eastern Province Anuradha Yahanpath, The Governor of the Uva Province Raja Kollure and The Governor of the Northern Province P.S.M. Charles participated in this discussion.  

The State Minister of Dhamma Schools, Education for Buddhist Priests, Pirivenas and the Buddhist Universities Vijitha Berugoda, The State Minister of Skills Development, Vocational Education, Research and New Inventions Seetha Arambepola and The State Minister of Women and Child Development, Pre-schools, School Infrastructure and Education Services Piyal Nishantha and some senior officers of the Ministry of Education had also joined in this occasion.
