Depending on the ideas received from the Provincial Secretaries of Education and the Provincial Directors of Education on 30.07.2022 (today) by the Minister of Education the Secretary of Education and the officers of the Ministry of Education, as the instructions given by the Ministry of Education through the media communique issued on 19.07.2022 to the Provincial Secretaries of Education, Provincial Directors of Education, Zonal Directors of Education, Divisional Deputy / Assistant Directors of Education and all Principals, the government and government approved private schools will be conducted during the week from 01st to 05th of August 2022 and the schools are held on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays and on Wednesdays and Fridays the activities are given to the students to engage in educational activities at home just as the schools were conducted last week. Otherwise, there is the opportunity to conduct online teaching and learning activities.
However, the schools can be held on Wednesdays and Fridays where the transport difficulties are not found with consent of the teachers and the principals of those schools and on the approval of the Zonal Director of Education. In this regard, a flexible timetable can be prepared giving opportunities to all teachers to come to school at least three days for teaching after considering the prevailing situations of the schools. The Provincial Transport Authority will engage the private buses reserved for transporting the school children and the teachers and the students can use this transport service paying the normal bus fare.
