The Minister of Education Professor G.L. Peiris said that the unity and collaboration between the state and the private sector is most important in order to achieve the future objectives of our country. He said this while joining the event held at the auditorium of the ministry of education for offering 1.5 million face masks worth of 6.8 million rupees by the Brandix Institution for the use of school children.
Further expressing his ideas at this occasion the minister said,
“We must extend our thanks to them on behalf of entire student population for the contribution made for such a valuable deed in a disastrous situation like this. And also we must appreciate the decision that has been made by the Brandix Institution to contribute for the development of two sectors water and education in collaboration this program is the beneficiaries of it are the students in rural schools in Sri Lanka,” he said. The steps are taken to distribute these face masks among the 5824 schools in the island. with the government. This is also a very good example for other institutions in the country.
